Visual inspection tells you what is happening on the surface. It does not tell you what is happening underneath. Corrosion under pipe supports (CUPS), corrosion under insulation (CUI), and subsurface weld defects are among the most common causes of unplanned failure in oil and gas facilities — and among the hardest to detect without the right techniques. Our advanced NDT capability, including phased array ultrasonic testing, corrosion mapping, and ACFM, identifies these issues accurately and without taking assets offline or removing pipework. For CUPS specifically, we can assess pipe support contact zones directly, providing wall thickness data and corrosion extent without the disruption and cost of lifting or removing pipework.
